I enjoyed it very much and I'm not even vegan.
The system is very easy to understand. The food display is very impressive. I like the colour profile and variety. My only complaint is there are so many things that I can't enjoy everything in a single visit unless you stuff you strategically cut down the portion size for everything or stuff yourself (which fails the "enjoyment" part).
I might come back whilst I'm in Stockholm...
(It took me a while to figure out, but you take the stairs to the lower level to find this place.)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17 sept. 2022
Because we had a vegetarian in the group, a friend recommended Hermans, an all you can eat vegetarian buffet, which sits on the harbor between Södermalm and Gamla Stan near the Slusson Station. Although our group is predominately meat eaters, we were all surprised by the buffet selection at Hermans and how much we enjoyed the taste of the food. With that said, my mouth did feel like the food had MSG. After eating, there were several desserts available for purchase, so we purchased all of them. Included in the buffet is coffee and tea. If you sit in the right room, you get a view of the harbor; otherwise, no view. However, if you intend to sit and talk for a while, this is an ideal restaurant to do so as no one is rushing you out.

Amazing location with A spectacular view of Stockholm. I recently lived in a flat around the corner for 2 weeks in June. I have lived in LA the Vegan capital of the world for 30 years but was actually born in this area! I was so pleasantly surprised with your restaurant and vegan buffet and of course view and everything else. No alcohol but who needs alcohol it makes you fat and gives you cancer! I brought my family here and told all my American friends who are touristing in Stockholm
summer!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tone B.San Francisco, États-Unis3927912 juin 2023
Outdoor patio with beautiful views. Inside seating available as well both with and without views. Food is self served with many varieties, mostly cold but also some hot. Many flavors.

This restaurant is the one of the best vegan restaurants I have been to. The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic and the view is unbeatable! The multiple salads are good but their hot food offerings are even better - there is fresh code are tea included in your meal - I went here multiple times during my stay in Stockholm

First of all, one of the few things I've noticed about Stockholm while visiting was that it's very vegan friendly. While traveling around, I loved all the vegan foods that I've come across. So, it was quite fitting to try my first vegan buffet here... and let me tell you, it was a pretty awesome dinner!
LOCATION
This vegan buffet spot is located in the Katarina-Sofia area near the Fotografiska (photography) museum. The store itself can be ignored if you aren't actively looking for it because it appears hidden and you have to walk down an narrow path to even get to the entrance. But, it's worth the visit. It overlooks the water and grona lund. At sunset, it's such a pretty view outside.
SEATING
My friend and I walked in around 6-7pm. We walked into a pretty packed dining area. Some tables are very long and some are meant for only 2 or 4 people. It can be hard at times to find seating esp with a larger group. People do tend to linger to talk & eat as much as they could. But luckily with a party of 2, we found seats after a few minutes of searching at the end of a longer table.
PRICING
Considering you can probably find meals at a similar price range that aren't buffets, I would say that the pricing is pretty good/fair here. They even offer student discount if you have your student id card on hand, which I had wish I had known earlier...
In order to pay, you head inside to the counter. After paying, the cashier hands you a plate in which you can head into the buffet area to begin your stacking of food.
VEGAN BUFFET
They have a big variety of vegan foods available and I believe it changes everyday. I'm not a vegan myself, but I loved almost everything that they offered when I went. I found myself going back & forth for more food. It was much better than I expected and I ate until my stomach was bloated.
DRINKS
They offer free water that you can pour yourself. They also offer complimentary water/tea. They have a small section where you can grab a glass cup and pour yourself standard black brewed coffee or warm water. Also in that same area, they have a big variety of tea bags available. They have a description for each tea on how it can benefit you ranging from aiding in sleep, memory, general women/men's health, etc. These are all at your disposal and I love it! For other alcoholic drinks and/or special flavored drinks/sodas, you do need to purchase it at the front desk.
Because of what it offers at it's price point, I would definitely recommend to everyone. Overall, I loved my first experience at a vegan buffet.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 22 juin 2018
Herman's is a hippie vegan buffet high up on the Northern coast of Stockholm's Sodermalm with a spectacular view of the waterfront, downtown and Djurgarden.
The crowd could all be ecological activists, college professors, artists or granola lovers.
The view is drop dead gorgeous.
The vegan buffet is better than what you would get in a college town vegetarian restaurant and not as good as what you would get from an upscale haute cuisine nouveau vegetarienne.
Still the food is nice.
They include international elements such as Texas-style southwest black bean casserole.
However, international does not change the menu very much in vegetarian cooking.
Veggie places all over the world make vegetarian lasagna, soy sausage, bread with sun butter etc. etc, which is what you get here.
As a salute to their Swedish roots, one of their dishes had dill.
Most "restaurants with a view" are in skyscrapers and appeal to the business crowd or the tourist crowd.
This is one of the few view restaurants I have seen that appeals to the Moosewood crowd.
It was nice to see the mid-summer-late-night sun shining on all those buildings, all that water and all that greenery.
My heart was at peace and so was my tofu.
The place CAN get crowded however, and that makes it a little less restful.
Eat your seitan and look out over the water.
The tranquility that is without will soon be found within.
Particularly since you are scarfing down that tranquility with a fork.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Mariam Nazdane A.Stockholm, Suède2520297416 sept. 2018
I want to start by pointing it out that it's not a very baby friendly place. Strollers are not allowed inside and all the passages are very narrow and usually quite crowded so it was quite a problem for us to get to our table with our super small travel stroller (since our baby was asleep, we took it inside anyway).
Although the variety was very limited, I liked that their salads were exciting and exotic, but keep in mind that they are kept on ice and not very compelling during winter time.
Furthermore it was quite stressful to stand in long line in that narrow isle to get food.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - First C.INCLINE VLG, États-Unis51135413 déc. 2021

This place is definitely worth a visit. I visited Stockholm in October and there was not many tourists so it was easy to find nice seats and not crowded in the buffet area. My experience can pretty much be concluded in the following bullet points:
- medium-high quality vegan food (to wash down all the grease that came with all the meatballs and hotdogs from Günter's)
- GORGEOUS view
- complimentary coffee and tea
- price is reasonable
The restaurant was also very clean and I could not get enough of the view (it was right by the waters and you can see Gröna Lund across)!! I wouldn't say the food was amazing but it was a really nice and healthy meal full of veggies that was much needed as a tourist after trying out so many different restaurants.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
