4 stars for their green tea cream puff. Even though it's not the matcha flavor I was hoping for it was still very nice - delicately floral. Small, bite sized treats. I had a box of 6 in one sitting - cafe, lemon, chocolate, berry, pistachio as well.
You can't buy a box and sit there to eat though - they charge more for eating in than take out. A typical policy, but annoying nonetheless on a hot day. Ended up walking down the street to a church and found some shade under a tree.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2 avr. 2023
This location of Odette's is located very close to the Westfield Forum des Halles, and within walking distance of the Louvre. They specialize in cream filled pastries (choux cream), with a similar taste and construction to an american cream puff, except tastier. There are various types of cream that one can choose, thus the variety. They do have a small dining area, which we took advantage of dining in, ordering two choux creme (burnt carmel, pistachio). The single manager was very nice and they accept credit cards.

I wish we bought one of each flavor. We were walking around this area of town, and stumbled upon this cute store. We took two to go. We should have known better! These cute looking guys- choux pastries- are amazing! They're very light and puffy, with different custard fillings. I love my cream puff, but this takes it to another level. Next time I'm in Paris, I'll make sure to grab a dozen, or two.:)

I love puff pastries, but not all are created equal.
When I saw that Odette was located right across from our apartment in Paris, I was in Heaven - particularly after sampling the vanilla puff pastry our first day!
So sweet, so cool, so perfect!
Later I bought a box and found I also loved the mixed berry. However, don't buy a box unless you have people to eat them right away. These beauties are much better served fresh.
What a delight for after lunch, a late breakfast, or - well, anytime!
Also the workers are very helpful even with my limited French:)Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Alison L.Austin, États-Unis527100046326 juin 2016
Still my favorite establishment in Paris but note that this second location lacks true outdoor seating and a bathroom (what?!?). The original is always the best.
I recently discovered the Green Tea flavor and it's incredible. I'd expect nothing less from them. I came here 3 days in a row - 3 cream puffs and a cappuccino will set you back a cool €10.10.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Rose D.Austin, États-Unis239425 juin 2019
Cream puff flavors were interesting, but the fillings were a bit thick and heavy. Nothing remarkable.

From pictures and reviews, I had wanted to try the choux from Odette while I was in Paris again. I had to hurry to get there before closing time and I am so happy that I did!
There are many flavor options for filling that we decided to get 2 boxes of 6 so that we could sample the flavors back in our hotel.
All of them were so perfectly soft and delicate and their fillings were sweet but not overly so. They were all delightful and I think the favorites were vanilla, caramel cream, and green tea. Out of the ones we tried, I think only the pistachio was not up to par because it had a bit of an artificial taste.
I will definitely be coming back here the next time I'm in Paris as they have some of the best choux that I've tried!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 781375712313 nov. 2015
I often tell people that "cream puff" is a very poor description of the "chou" because it conjures up memories of very poorly done imitations. In America, the particularly egregious example is the "french bread" I was introduced to growing up, which was some of the worst bread I had ever eaten. After you've gotten them to understand how magical a chou is, then you have to explain that Odette takes it one level higher, in a different, more luxurious direction. I'll leave it to you to find out :-)
