The selection, measuring and installation went well, as it should when paying premium prices. The subcontractor who installed was excellent. But after the installation and waste that was removed, we ended up with 15% additional flooring that they will not take back, even with a restocking fee. The reason?
      Covid.
There are so many other flooring sources out there, please avoid this rather sleazy "sales" game.

Have always found Safelite a quality repair shop. The lead time to get an appointment however, is ridiculous. More opportunity for expansion out here.

Paella. The positive I can say, the rice was well cooked. The seafood not so. Half the mussels were not opened, the langoustines were over cooked, the other seafood was, I am guessing, squid? This was cooked tender, but the blackness imparted to the rice was not what I was expecting. If I wanted the black rice paella I would have ordered it.

The price of €19 per person made me feel taken advantage of. The wine was good, a nice crisp relief to the heavy, cloying paella.

The service? I have had worse, but only once in 30 years of European travel.

Had a patty melt with a couple of cups of soup. Very good service, once you figure out to order at the counter. The fact they handed us regular dine-in menus when we entered is what confused us.

The patty melt was good, tasty. The soups were very good. Vegetable soup like we make at home, everything in the pantry. Mickey done and served hot. The creamy poblano soup was great. Nice low level of heat, good poblano flavor.

      We will return.

One star for honesty, one for quality, one for the sign, one for menu, missed one for decor and service.

Diners. All the rage. Stick some quilted stainless on the wall, some Naugahyde stools and booths, a jukebox and your on the Food Network. The first visit is influenced by the eye candy. After that, I hope you get exactly what you deserve. Which I hope is loyalty and a motive to return, even if that means a long drive out of the way.

The Chef misses on the superficial elements, except the sign. They seem to think the food is more important than the appearance. Oh darn. This is a problem for me because now too many people come here to eat. Seriously, that causes a few problems.

Poached eggs cooked in a little muffin pan kinda thingy that leaves the center under and the outside over cooked. Corned beef hash missing the caramelization that comes from sitting on the griddle longer. That's it. Everything else is just darned fine.

The coffee is quite good, brewed in clean equipment. The menu is very well conceived. Service? Well it is a diner after all, the idea isn't to coddle you, it to get your damn food.

Like any restaurant these days the economics are daunting, so you have to reset your value meter so that "ouch!"="decent value". Good luck with that.
