Wow, our experience at Soi 71 was unreal. The worst failure of management I've ever seen anywhere. The one non-white girl in our group experienced some hardcore profiling. The ownership here needs to make some serious adjustments. I would THINK TWICE before I supported this business!
Here's the quick summary: There was a white girl and a brown girl in the bathroom at the restaurant. A customer complained that someone was fallen down on the floor and seemed out of it. The brown girl was in a stall doing her "business" but we were told that she was making a scene and we needed to leave. My wife went to check on her and she was in the stall, with no sign of anything unusual happening except another sloppy white girl leaving the bathroom. My wife came back, said nothing was up, and then the staff came to throw us out. My wife again went to the bathroom and came back with our friend. No problems. We were all sitting there, chatting, excited about our food. Nothing out of the ordinary. Except now the staff and owner were insistent that it was her and she was causing a problem and they wanted to throw us out. Never once did they consider that it might not have been the brown girl causing the situation, but another. They were so sure that it HAD to be her. Our friend's active military husband was furious, understandably, for this insane situation and had a loud argument with the owner, and the owner called the police. They then tried to get us to PAY for food we never received. The police informed us that there was no apparent reason for the complaint OR the call, but that it was private property and it was the owners' discretion. They too seemed confused about why the situation evolved in the first place. I still can't figure it out, but it's clear that there are some real jerks running the place.

Very occasionally you find a winery that offers that perfect combination of casual wine country vibe and incredibly well-crafted wines. Lava Vine is one of those rare breeds.

Friendly staff and frequent musical breaks in a fun-loving atmosphere makes for the kind of winery that reminds you that wine is supposed to be as FUN as it is delicious. But no, Lava Vine doesn't trade flavor for fun. They have both nailed. The wines are confident enough that the tasting room staff don't need to oversell their goods. The wines are uniformly great and they know it. No hard sell here.

Love it! We'll be back many times!

7 stars for creativity, execution and good old fashioned awesomeness.

Yes, there are some things that need improvement. It's a brand new place, people. Save your pretentious comments for a place that's had a chance to work out the kinks at least.

We had our share of hiccups during dinner, but it barely distracted from the fact that Bodega is doing something bravely awesome and doing it right. The cocktails are purely wonderful, the beer selection is great, the menu is promising.

The art behind the bar is kick ass, the library made me swoon, and the restrooms are exactly the kind of fun experience that restaurant restrooms are supposed to provide.

Go there! You'll love it and the prices are NOT that high. We got outta there after a huge dinner for 2 with cocktails for less than a $100. For awesome ambience, great music and friendly service, it's fairly priced.

      New Rule:

Don't buy a guitar from someone who doesn't know how to build one.

These guys hand build and repair guitars right here in their shop. THIS is where you should buy a guitar!

Welcome to Provo, Old Towne Grill. One of the only places to have a cold draft beer and a great lunch or dinner. Love what they've done with the interior and all the cool wooden design details!

They offer a wide variety of great food at reasonable prices, with friendly service, and a full bar. But, if you're not a drinker, no worries because it's not necessary. This restaurant could stand on its own without being part of the Madison. So don't let that scare you.
